Since 2007, Réalisatrices Équitables brings awareness to Quebec’s film industry, and the institutions that finance media arts in Quebec and in Canada (feature films, short films, fiction, documentary, films, videos, television, clips, web series, interactive cinema, augmented reality, new media, advertising, and others). RÉ informs the public about the importance of female directors in Quebec, and works towards carving them a place that better reflects their outlook on the world and their imagination onto our diverse screens. Through its online platform, RÉ grants the public access to films directed by women and interviews conducted with female directors. RÉ provides resources, advices, networking, statistics and documentation to the public for them to learn about women’s share in the field of filmmaking.
