En août 2010, elle est montée à bord du brise-glace NGCC Des Groseilliers de la Garde côtière canadienne en compagnie d’une équipe de télévision pour participer à une mission scientifique dans le Grand Nord canadien. Le brise-glace est parti de Nanisivik au Nunavut, situé à 280 km au nord-ouest d’Iqaluit, pour se rendre à la station météorologique Eureka, établie sur l’île d’Ellesmere dans l’extrême Arctique.
