Her final scooter ride through the streets, fields, and woods is a solemn journey filled with evocative encounters. In La ronde, Sophie Goyette offers a moving pilgrimage through the troubled waters of suburban slumber. From one unusual tableau to the next emerges a singular meditation on leaving, loss, and night’s power of abstraction.
