Joining the filmmakers are the voices and comments of producers, film specialists and archivists through whom our images are meticulously preserved.

This is catastrophic for Laura, a 45-year-old bootlegger who has been smuggling illegal alcohol onto the reserve for years. Mani’s and Laura’s opposing forces quickly divide the community into two clans who must come face to face to determine the best path to independence.

Que fait-on des objets laissés par les gens qu’on aime après leur mort? C’est la question que je me suis posée, suite au décès de mon père. J’ai cherché la réponse en fouillant ses journaux, ses dessins, ses photos; en interrogeant des amis et en lisant des auteurs qui m’inspirent. Je n’ai pas trouvé de réponse définitive mais j’ai fait ce que je devais faire avec les objets de mon père : un film. C’est à une promenade ludique dans les lieux de mon père que je convie les spectateurs. L’envie de prolonger son geste en y ajoutant le mien est devenu en cours de route le motif principal de ce court métrage, mélangeant animation et tournage réel, légèreté et questions existentielles.

Once her studies completed, Priscilla (Janaina Suaudeau), a young Brazilian whose visa has expired, must find a job if she wants to stay in Montreal. She lands a job as an exotic dancer at Elixir, a downtown nightclub, and finds herself surrounded by about fifteen young women who, like her, reside illegally in Canada. Among the dancers there is a Quebecer, the pretty Milagro (Clara Furey), who dreams of deserting Quebec winters with her daughter Chloé, for a warmer climate. To succeed, she will have to leave her mother (Anne Dorval), guardian of her daughter, and negotiate with an enigmatic RCMP corporal (Colm Feore) in order to leave the country. Despite their differences, Priscilla and Milagro will experience a friendship that will transport them beyond the walls of the Elixir, a friendship that could turn into love if their universe were one that is forgiving.

Nous suivons aussi Nylon, un chien Mira travaillant dans un hôpital de réadaptation auprès de différents patients.
