To get a better idea of the scale of the situation, the director set out to meet them in the USA and Canada.

Language enables us to transcend geographical and political borders, and enter into the linguistic intimacy of citizens. Language claims, Language uproots, Language conquers and appropriates. Speaking a language is a political act in itself.

She shows and explains some of her works, and tells us about her collaboration with her husband Pierre Guillaume, typographer and printer, responsible for printing many of her etchings.

Dance, laughter and acrobatics give a glimpse of childhood, as do the arguments that sometimes get out of hand.
