BIOGRAPHY

Karyne Lemieux is co-founder of Lauretta productions. She directed, wrote and produced her first documentary film, Cachez cette bedaine que je ne saurais voir (Hide this belly that I dare not see), broadcast by Télé-Québec, as well as the experimental short Cycle 24, which will be released in 2024. As well as being an emerging screenwriter and director, Karyne Lemieux is also an actress in film, theatre and television, which has brought her to the attention of the general public. After graduating from drama school in 1996, her breakthrough came with the role of Sam in the popular TV series Diva. Since then, she has appeared in Yamaska, O’, 30 Vies, Le Négociateur, Rumeurs, Casino, Bêtes Noires, Indéfendable and many other productions. It was the role of Rachel in the memorable series Nos Étés that won her a place in the hearts of television viewers.
