BIOGRAPHY

Following her studies in cinema, Garance Chagnon-Grégoire wrote and directed her first short film, Tequila Pamplemousse (2016). She then co-directed and co-produced the documentary feature film En tête de ligne (2021), an intimate portrait of her grandfather André Chagnon, founder of Vidéotron. Finalist in the Cours écrire ton court competition (2020) for her fiction script Un après-midi à se fesser dessus, she directed the film in 2023 with the support in production from CALQ and SODEC. At the same time, she also directed the short film Les Roteuses in 2022, which won the AQPM award at the Fantasia festival, Best cinematography award at the Les Filministes festival, and a special jury mention at the Images en vues festival.

In addition to her directing projects, Garance has also worked as a chief props master for several years on ambitious projects such as Falcon Lake (Charlotte LeBon) and Les Chambres Rouges (Pascal Plante), providing her with a comprehensive understanding and vision of the seventh art that shines through in her own artistic projects.
