A sick old man returns to die in Montreal after leaving his wife and children several years ago to start a second career as a social animator among the Amerindians.
His daughter Louise still feels the rejection of her father and is reluctant to see him again. The meeting will finally take place in the hospital where Louise will have to try to understand the motivations of this absent father.
