The Centre Flora Tristan is the first refuge for victims of domestic violence to open in France in 1978. The refuge shelters fifteen women and their children and is staffed by sixteen full-time women. The film describes the day to day life of the refuge, its originality, and the different approaches the women take as they come and go.
