Speak Up / Make Your Way is a documentary on black women from European colonial history in Africa and the West Indies. The film focuses on the experience of difference as a black woman and specific clichés linked to these two inseparable dimensions of our “woman” and “black” identity. It is particularly about the intersections of discrimination, art, the plurality of our life paths and the need to reclaim the narrative.
