L’islam de mon enfance

I grew up in a Muslim country where religion and culture have blended together for centuries. Tolerance was then a wise mediator between culture, religion and individual freedoms. However, the more I grew, the more I felt a change that disturbed this established order. Everything had started in school. The religious took more and more place in the schools and dictated their programs. The men of God have also monopolized mosques to dictate to people how to live and how to think.
