Vivre avec l’art… Un art de vivre
Anne-Marie Tougas
Premiers jours
Clorinda Warny
An animated film created from pastel drawings, Premiers Jours (First Days) traces the complete cycle of life, from birth to adulthood, in four seasons, and through the evolution of landscapes that become human bodies.
Avancer masqué
Laurence Olivier
On a freezing winter night, in an small, isolated village, masked figures prowl. The monsters lurk by the houses, knock on doors. You let these strangers into your home. They remain silent. They observe you. With Veiled Intent, a documentary horror film, or maybe an experimental fable, brings to life an endangered tradition: Mi-Carême (Mid-Lent), as it is celebrated in Natashquan. Welcome to the monster ball.
Poème fantôme
Laurence Olivier
Phantom Poem eludes both sight and sound. Super 8 footage of a haunted island merges with an astral soundtrack to echo its verses, revealing a striking dissonance: while our world seems to shrink with each passing day, the silent universe continues to expand.

Fin de millénaire
Hélène Bourgault
As the millennium draws to a close, several major currents of thought are focusing on a holistic vision of the universe. Men and women speaking the language of science, psychology or ecology, of youth, of belonging to the earth or of spiritual experience, bear witness to this undeniable hope of reconciliation between spirit and matter, and of a shared sense of being part of a great whole.
Les perdants
Jenny Cartwright
A Losing Game follows three people who ran for office in Quebec’s October 2022 provincial election. The one thing they had in common? They were all sure to lose. Through their individual campaigns, the film peels back the curtain on our electoral system and the many ways in which it is dysfunctional: the additional barriers faced by women and radicalized people, deficiencies in the voting process, unfair campaign financing rules and the undue weight given to media and polls. In this documentary, Jenny Cartwright casts a critical eye on a political system that doesn’t offer everyone the same opportunities. For most, the race is over before it even begins. But, thanks to the way the electoral system is set up, the big losers are the rest of us.
