BIOGRAPHY

Following multiple journeys across Asia, Canadian photographer and filmmaker Maude Plante-Husaruk started using her camera as a tool to document compelling human stories and social issues with a focus on the remote cultures of India, Nepal, Central Asia and the Middle-East, collaborating with NGOs and local agents of change. She co-directed the short film The Botanist (Tajikistan) and the feature documentary Far Beyond the Pasturelands (Nepal), that have both received great recognition in festivals and won numerous awards. Driven by the desire to master the arts of visual storytelling, she continues to work on long term photography and film projects.
