    BIOGRAPHY

    Geneviève holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and studied directing at INIS (2000). She directed the short film Jingle (2001), which won the Audience Award at the FFM. Recipient of the Claude-Jutra grant, she directed the documentary El mago del Coyoàcan (2002). In 2003, she participated in Women in the Director’s Chair. In 2004, her short film Kafarnaüm was selected for the first round of the Oscars. In 2006, she directed her third short film, Meet-market.ca, which won gold at the WorldFest Houston. In 2010, she and Joël Melançon directed Blanc comme neige, which was screened at various festivals around the world. She is currently writing a feature film.

    She has also directed various television series, including Trajectoires, Un tueur si proche, Victimes, Fugitifs, Fatal Vows, Homo sapiens, a prehistoric comedy, and Alix et les Merveilleux.

    In 2020, Geneviève directed several episodes of the series L’Échappée, which earned her a nomination at the Prix Gémeaux in 2021 and 2022 in the category of Best Direction: Annual Dramatic Series. Geneviève is currently directing the 7th season of l’Échappée. She will be available for new challenges in the winter/spring of 2023.
