BIOGRAPHY

Documentary director and editor, Fanie Pelletier holds a double bachelor’s degree in social sciences and cinema. In parallel with her master’s degree in cinema, she directed the documentary essay Photo jaunie (2016), which was selected in several festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, and won the award for best documentary short at the Rendez-vous du cinéma québécois as well as the jury’s coup de coeur at the Rencontres internationales du documentaire in Montreal. In 2017, she directed the film Vagabonds (2017) for Les grands reportages de Radio-Canada. Her approach is to exploit the cinematic and poetic potential of documentary while provoking a reflection on social structures and representation.
