Chloé Sirois
BIOGRAPHY
Chloé Sirois writes, directs, produces, and serves as artistic director for various film and television projects. She is interested in childhood trauma, borderline personality development, female sexuality and the sensitivity of the human experience. In 2019, she presents Prends-moi, a documentary exploring the BDSM universe in its authenticity, at the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma de Montréal (FNC). In 2020, she directed Morceau par morceau, a short fiction film recounting the decomposition of 10-year-old Cleo’s childhood in a metaphorical tale where a carnivorous plant she plays with feeds bugs and ends up feeding on her skin. The film was selected in several festivals, including the Fantasia Festival and the Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma (RVQC). At the age of 21, Chloé was awarded a grant from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ) to direct her short film Pornomania (2023). With audacity and sensitivity, she stages the trauma and fascination of a child through her brutal discovery of pornography.
