BIOGRAPHY
Films written or directed by Chloé Cinq-Mars have screened at more than 300 international film festivals. Her debut feature film as a director, Nesting, won the Northern Excellence Award for Best Canadian Film at Fantasia in 2025. It was released in theaters in the fall of 2025 and began its festival run at the same time (Fantasia, Fantastic Fest, Brooklyn Horror Fest, VIFF, CIFF, etc.). Chloé has written the screenplays for several short films, notably La Voce, directed by David Uloth, which has won over 50 awards. In 2019, she wrote the screenplay for the feature film Dérive (The Far Shore) (directed by David Uloth), for which she also served as acting coach and casting director. She received a nomination at the Gala Québec Cinéma for Best Casting for this film. That same year, Chloé directed the short film The Cut, which won the Best Quebec Short Film Award at Longue vue sur le court, the Best Short Film Award at 20 MinMax in Germany, and the Best International Short Award at the St. Louis International Film Festival, among other awards. In 2025, she co-wrote the screenplay for her next film, La Route de Chlifa, with Bachir Bensaddek.
