BIOGRAPHY

Primarily a concert and travel photographer, Carmen Rachiteanu developed her aesthetic and spontaneous eye in the crowded backstreets of India and the mosh pits of Montreal. Following her studies in communications at Concordia, in 2019 she will complete her training at L’inis in documentary filmmaking, where she will learn more about telling people’s stories through images. Her first short documentary Jo (2019) was in competition at REGARD and Hot Docs. In 2020 she directed Mazzarello, an inspiring portrait of an Argentine boxer.
