BIOGRAPHY

Alix Galdin is a Franco-Canadian artist, photographer, and filmmaker based in Saguenay, Quebec. Self-taught, she has been practicing analog photography since childhood, but it was in 2016 that she began to explore its creative potential through the manipulation of Polaroid initially, and then through that of film. In 2019, she expanded her horizons by incorporating moving images into her creations, still using analog mediums. It wasn’t until 2021 that she began to dedicate herself professionally to her artistic practice. That year, Vidéographe provided support for the creation of a video poem distributed by G.I.V. The following year, the Table de concertation interrégionale en cinéma granted her support for the development of a documentary currently in production, thanks to the support of the Canada Council for the Arts.
