BIOGRAPHY
Aïcha Morin-Baldé is a Guinean and Canadian filmmaker based in Montreal. After completing her studies in Film & Communications (2019), she began an internship at St Laurent TV. It is within this production company that she distinguishes herself by her love of cinema and her fierce character. She is quickly offered a position after her internship. At the same time, she begins producing and directing her interview series TÉ KI? for social media.
Her first short film Noeuds/Knots (2021) premiered at the Toronto Black Film Festival and played at numerous festivals. It was also selected by Reel Canada to be shown in high schools across Canada. It recently received an honourable mention at the New York Tri-State International Film Festival. Nourrir Les Rêves/Feeding Dreams (2021), her second short film, had its world premiere at the Hot Docs International Film Festival.
