BIOGRAPHY

Aïcha Diop is an emerging Senegalese-Canadian director and screenwriter, who holds a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University and a Master of Arts from the New School. Her first short documentary film, Nancy’s Workshop, won the Audience Award for Best Short Film at the Hots Docs 2020 Film Festival. She is currently developing a docu-series based on the short film, as well as her first feature documentary, GAWLO.
