The myth of Persephone tells the story of her journey to the underworld of Hades and the grief of her mother, Demeter, who halts the fertility of the earth. Created as a palimpsest blending mythical references and personal mythology, this reinterpretation of the myth explores the transmission between mother and daughter. Performers, puppets, masks, and scale models are animated through alternating techniques of live action and stop-motion.
