La Roumanie, ma mère et moi

Eva has never been deprived of her freedom. Her mother, however, has. In 1981, she fled Communist Romania to spare her child from growing up under the dictatorship. When the Berlin Wall fell, followed by the Romanian revolution in 1989, Doina made a film about returning to her native country with her 16-year-old daughter. This journey through time explores Romanian youth, their hopes and disillusionment since the overthrow of the communist regime.
