Compromise

Madeleine, a young French-Canadian girl goes to study English litterature in London. She meets a young actor, Peter, who has just come out of school and is out of work. They will have time to live together to discover the city of London until Madeleine reveals to Peter that she thinks she is pregnant. She realises then how much she is attached to her French-speaking country, and to what extent their backgrounds differ. Two visions of the world: man and woman, French and English.
