In this intimate documentary, filmmaker and actor Brigitte Poupart lends her camera to her daughter Fabiola, allowing the young woman to speak for herself. Adopted at the age of three in Port-au-Prince, Fabiola travels with her mother to Haiti in search of her biological family. As they meet people and uncover stories, another life begins to take shape, revealing the harsh reality faced by many girls on the island.
