Originally from the Czech Republic and a Gaspesian at heart, Dasha Vymetalova chose Gaspésie as her adopted homeland in 2006. Driven by a passion for visual arts, she founded Da Média in 2018, a production company that truly reflects her artistic vision and professional rigor. In recent years, she has dedicated herself to producing series that delve into unique and under explored themes of the Gaspesian region. These topics, often overlooked by other filmmakers, seek to showcase the cultural and historical richness of the area while addressing issues that remain relevant and significant. Her work reflects a commitment to crafting authentic and enduring stories deeply rooted in the distinctive landscape of Gaspésie.
