BIOGRAPHY

Clara is a multidisciplinary artist Born in Marseille and based in Montreal since 2016. Her work is divided between performance and creation in the fields of theater, contemporary dance and film. She is a graduate of the Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal (2020), the Cours Florent (2016), the Sorbonne Paris III (Master’s degree in theatre studies), the École Normale Supérieure (ENS Ulm) and studied film at the Université de Montréal. Her artistic approach is characterized by a feminist consciousness and an ongoing dialogue between the arts.

As a director, she has produced a number of dance videos, including Salir (Spoil), co-directed with Corinne Spitalier, La mer en soi (The Sea Within), co-directed with Kes Tagney, and her first short fiction film, Memento Mori, with an all-female cast. The film made its world premiere at Fantasia in summer 2024 and its European premiere at the Final Girls Berlin Film Festival. It won Best Art Direction at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival. It was also a semi-finalist at the Mirada Corta Short Film Festival in Mexico and at the New York Indie Shorts Awards.
