BIOGRAPHY

Lucile Parry-Canet is a filmmaker with a degree in film production from Concordia University, based between Gespe’gewa’gi (Gaspésie) and Tiohtià:ke (Montreal). In 2024, she founded LUCA Productions, a production company dedicated to creating films with a human and environmental focus.

Her work is marked by poetic minimalism, a strong sense of place, and a particular attention to territory, memory, and movement, often through outdoor or underwater filming. Her films have been screened and awarded at several festivals, including Cement (Best Regional Short, Festival Émergence 2024), Resonance (Special Mention, Cinema on the Bayou 2024), and Floodgate (Project Spark Award 2023). In 2025, she received the Young Ones Portfolio – Film & Video award from The One Club for Creativity in New York.

She recently completed the feature-length documentary Héritières, co-directed with musician Karine Pion, and is currently developing new documentary and fiction projects.
