BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Argentina, Laura has been living in Montreal for twenty-five years. A self-taught filmmaker, she chose cinema to bring together art, identity building, mental health and education. In 2009, she directed and produced Antoine, her first feature film about the imaginary life of a young blind boy. The film was selected in some thirty festivals and received fifteen awards.

Ariel (2013), his second feature film also presented in several international festivals including IDFA, Thessaloniki and BAFICI, is about the journey of a man who rebuilds himself after a terrible accident. Primas completes the trilogy and reveals once again the power of imagination through the singularity of Laura Bari’s artistic approach that pushes the boundaries between reality and imagination.
