Among the very first soldiers who died in Iraq, five were of Latin American origin, and three of them did not have American citizenship. José Antonio Gutierrez and Jesus Suarez del Solar were among them. José Antonio was one of the first US Army soldiers to die in Baghdad. He was Guatemalan. Since then, his father Fernando Suarez del Solar has been fighting to end the harassment of American army recruiters who focus on young Hispanics in American high schools.
