BIOGRAPHY
Zoé Pelchat is a Montreal director with a sensitive approach and a sought-after aesthetic. She creates fascinating worlds that always present a touch of humour and offbeat poetry. After studying communications at Concordia, she began directing a series of experimental short films, Poèmes, created and produced with a group of passionate friends. It wasn’t long before she started making music videos for Fanny Bloom (Piscine), Heart Streets (Bubble of joy) or Di Astronauts (Kingston Queen). In parallel, she directed advertising and content for various clients such as Énergie 94.3, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Keurig, Fondation Lucie et André Chagnon, Bell Media and Québec Jeunes. She then completed her training at l’Inis in the 2016 film cohort, directing profile. Her short films from l’Inis have been shown in several festivals, in addition to being broadcast on Tou.tv. In 2018, her Dominos author web series, broadcast on TV5.ca, won the Best Digital Series Award at the very first Canneseries festival.
