Directed by Marie-Hélène Panisset, starring Judith Baribeau and Nancy Leduc, with screen choreography by Nancy Leduc and original score by Julien Knafo, this short powerful piece of fiction (6 minutes) brings a fresh perspective on jelly wrestling to illustrate the love-hate relationship between two women in the context of patriarchy. The Last Round is a work of experimental fiction that uses dance instead of dialogue to bring its story forward, therefore revealing the power and aesthetic potential of what originally was an incongruous element of macho pop culture.
